"We are very proud of our oldest member Dorothy Ward, who has just celebrated her 102nd birthday. Dorothy joined the Alfreton Club in 1963 and became President in 1971/72. She still comes to our Club meetings whenever she is able and enjoys her time with us along with a gin and tonic! In the past she has attended many events especially District Rallies and Conventions and regularly hosted Inner Wheel Day at her home. She embroidered the Tudor rose on our Club banner which has often been displayed at District Rallies. Dorothy has two sons and one daughter who along with her grandchildren and many other family members, take great care of her in her own home. A very special and much loved lady, who we are so pleased to have as a friend and member"
